She is interested in modifying conventional relations between artwork, audience, and artist. In Garcia’s most recent projects, she has adopted the role of a stage director, instructing performers to follow certain rules and insert their behavior in real-life situations, which remain open to audience intervention. She currently serves as a visiting teacher at the Haute ecole d’art et de design, Geneva, and Ecole nationale superieure des beauxarts, Lyon.
