Studio Miessen (Markus Miessen, Diogo Passarinho, Yulia Startsev, Martin Pohl, Mehran Mojtahedzadeh, Sophie Burgess) is a collaborative agency for architecture and spatial strategy.

Recent projects include ongoing work for and with the artist Hito Steyerl; the Kosovo National Gallery, Pristina (2013); the Estonian Pavilion, Venice (2013); Witte de With, Rotterdam (2013); Weltkulturen Museum, Frankfurt am Main (2013); and Performa Biennial, New York (2013). Their largest project to date is a strategic framework and new Kunsthalle building for a former NATO nuclear-warhead bunker site in Germany (as of 2012). Studio Miessen’s founder and director Markus Miessen is a German architect, consultant, author, and (guest) professor at several international art schools including the Städelschule, Frankfurt; HEAD, Geneva; and USC, Los Angeles. In 2008, Miessen founded the Winter School Middle East, now based in Kuwait. Studio Miessen is based in Berlin.
