Minze Tummescheit and Arne Hector are filmmakers who have been working together as cinéma copains since 2000.

They produce documentary films based on longterm research projects and which advocate a clear personal position. Tummescheit and Hector’s recent films, both of which were screened at the Forum section of the Berlin International Film Festival, Berlin, include in the works (2012), a documentary series comprised of filmic investigation of the reality, possibilities, and limitations of collective action, and Jarmark Europa (2004), a 115-minute film-essay on the transformation in Eastern Europe. Recent exhibitions and film programs include: Ambiguous Being, Taipei Biennial, Taipei, 2012; Labor of Love, Revisited, Arko Art Center, Seoul, 2011; From Real Socialism to Real Democracy / Ex Argentina, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires, 2006; Steps for the Flight from Labor to Doing, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, 2004; and How do we want to be governed?, MACBA, Barcelona; 2004. Tummescheit and Hector live and work in Berlin.
