Dimitri Venkov is filmmaker and video artist.

For Monday Begins on Saturday Venkov collaborates with Antonina Baever. Venkov is a recent graduate of the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia, Moscow, and holds an MA in Film Studies from the University of Oregon, Eugene. He has produced video and mixed-media work that reaches out to artistic, film, and academic institutional contexts. His work has been presented at Yale University, New Haven, and Moscow State University, Moscow. Venkov’s films have been included in: Kino der Kunst Festival, Munich, 2013; Jean Rouch International Film Festival, Paris, 2012; and Moscow International Film Festival, Moscow, 2012. In 2012 he received the Young Artist Kandinsky Prize for his film Mad Mimes (2012), and in 2013 he was nominated for the Moscow Innovation Prize. Recent exhibitions include: Getting There Together (with Antonina Baever), Triumph Gallery, Moscow, 2013; Start Making Sense!, Haute ecole d’art et de design, Geneva, 2013; and Workshop VS Film Process and Video Citation, National Center for Contemporary Art, Moscow, 2012.
