Clemens von Wedemeyer is an artist who primarily works in the mediums of film and video.

His cinematic and video installations explore the issues of group dynamics, power relations, and historical resonances evident in everyday life. Recent exhibitions include: dOCUMENTA (13), Kassel, 2012; Metropolis, Report from China (with Maya Schweizer), Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt am Main, 2011; The Fourth Wall, Barbican Centre, London, 2009; Skulptur Projekte Munster, Munster, 2007; Clemens von Wedemeyer, Kolnischer Kunstverein, Cologne, 2006; 4th Berlin Biennale, Berlin, 2006; and 1st Moscow Biennale, Moscow, 2005. Wedemeyer is a recipient of several awards and fellowships, including Villa Massimo, Rome 2012; Best Film Award, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, 2006; and Kunstpreis der Bottcherstrasse Award, Bremen, 2005. The artist’s publications include: Filmmaterial 4 (The Fourth Wall) (2010); Screenplay (2009); and Variation sur Metropolis (with Maya Schweizer) (2006). Von Wedemeyer lives and works in Berlin.
